Since the early 1900’s Denver residents have enjoyed this oasis of a park taking full advantage of the 300 days of Colorado sunshine each year. With a view of the Rocky Mountains from any direction and endless recreational amenities, Washington Park has always been a favorite for runners, bikers, dog walkers, children, and especially photographers.
“One of the things I realized in researching Wash Park is that although the landscape of the park has changed a bit over time, the photographs people have taken through the years from the early 1900’s until now are very similar from the spot the photos were taken inside the park to the activities people enjoyed.” – Designer Anna Johnson
